Less comments now, just trying to complete the list, then I can go back later!

:; Artist Title Format Label (Date) Note
:; [89] Karlheinz Stockhausen Ceylon/ Bird of Passage LP Chrysalis (1976)

.............................................

Cool. Karl's bro plays on this one too! Electroacoustic compositions inspired by Sighalese music.
:; [88] Morton Subotnik 4 butterflies LP Colombia (1974)

.............................................

Despite the crap title, this is really intriguing electronic music from the wonderfully named Subotnik. Electronic music was really engaging in the early(ish) days. When did the descent into repetition and pop stylings eviscerate the genre?
:; [87] The Red Krayola (and friends) Fingerpainting LP Drag city (?)

.............................................

Really odd but quite great free rock (emphasis on free...) record from this old master teamed up with the likes of David Grubbs.
:; [86] Jolas; Xenakis; Boucourechliev New sounds from Paris LP Angel (?)

.............................................

The Xenakis piano piece here is fantastic. It also sounds like it must be completely impossible to play.
:; [85] Stars Of The Lid The tired sounds of stars of the lid 3x LP Kranky (2001)

.............................................

If you know SOTL, you know why they need a 3 LP set here! Lovely deluxe package too. Sleeping music of such static restraint, it makes Labradford seem hurried at times!
:; [84] This Heat Health and Efficiency 12'' EP Rought Trade (1980)

.............................................

Yup, it's as good and as odd as the retro-hype goes. Side one is a "song" that has no idea where it's going and so passes through most reference points of modern pop, avant rock and parts of electronic music along the way; manages even to be catchy without providing a single easy access point to the song. B/W a tape manipulation track. Would've been werid as all hell in 1980 and sounds just fine nowadays!
:; [83] Ryuichi Sakamoto 1996 double LP Gut (1996)

.............................................

A lot of duds lately huh? This is sickeningly straight forward modern classical... I have to admit I got him mixed up with a more interesting Japanese composer! At least it was cheapish.
:; [82] Scritti Politti Cupid and Psyche 85 LP EMI (1985)

.............................................

Okay, this is not cool, early Scritti Politti, this is deep synth pop malaise. Nonetheless, does seem to be considered a classic of sorts... after I recovered from my horror and shame at having purchased a record dripping with sugar syrup soft pop, I slowly began to see why. The sheen on this record is so glossy, it actually becomes a mirror for something more interesting... and the fairly blasphemous lyrics "The word girl" for example are delivered in such a candy floss fashion that you'd barely know that something is deeply wrong here... deeply wrong!
:; [81] The Cure 17 Seconds LP Polydor (1980)

.............................................

Bought it for "A forest" alone, but I think it's a great album!
:; [80] Smegma Ism LP Tim Kerr Records (?)

.............................................

:; [79] Bill Wells and Maher Shalal Hash Baz Osaka Bridge LP Karaokekalk (2006)

.............................................

Not at all what I expected but warming to it a treat!
:; [78] Gang of Four Songs of the free LP WB (1982)

.............................................

Ah crap. This is NOT good gang of four... should have done my research first...
:; [77] Kaoru Abe/ Sabu Toyozumi Overhang party Double coloured LP Qbico (Rerelease of 1978 recording)

.............................................

Not cheap, but beautiful and Abe sounds fantastic, squeaking, running, screaming and honking.
:; [76] v/a 1965 American Folk Blues Festival lp Philips (circa 1966?)

.............................................

Don't like this too much. Maybe a dud. Cheap.
:; [75] Oxbow King of the Jews LP CFY (??)

.............................................

Strange 100 yen record that's difficult to enjoy. At least it's odd.
:; [74] Gang Gang Dance () LP Fusetron (??)

.............................................

:; [73] Die Todliche Doris Die Uber Doris LP Vinyl on demand (500 release) (2004) (recording circa 1981/85)

.............................................

This is an odd and rare record. Can'T say as I like it (yet) so at least the minor sleeve damage made it a cheapy!
:; [72] F.M. Einheit and Caspar Brotzmann Merry Christmas LP Blast First (1994)

.............................................

Merry Christmas my arse! This sounds like hell! Thanks must go to p.w. for introducing me to the prodigal son of Peter Brotzmann. His guitar is a murder weapon.
:; [71] Wild Man Fisher and Smegma Sing popular songs LP Birdman Records (Circa 1974?)

.............................................

First side skips like all hell. Cheap though. And fucked in the head.
:; [70] Andrew Paine and Richard Youngs Mauve dawn LP Fusetron (2004)

.............................................

:; [69] Excepter Self destruction LP Fusetron (2005)

.............................................

:; [68] Silver Jews Starlite walker LP Domino (1994)

.............................................

:; [67] Ryker's Brother against brother LP Picture disc Lost and found (1994)

.............................................

Real cheap bin.
:; [66] Sick of it all Live in a world full of hate LP Picture disc Lost and found (1994)

.............................................

Real cheap bin.
:; [65] Mouse on Mars Distroia LP Rough Trade (1999)

.............................................

:; [64] Bardo Pond Bufo Avarius LP Drunken Fish (circa 1994) (1000 edition)

.............................................

:; [63] John Coltrane Sun ship LP Impulse (Circa 1972)

.............................................

This is better than I expected. That might seem to be a dipshit thing to say about a Coltrane record, but I came to Coltrane backwards ( Un Ciego has a theory that this is the way for noise kids to get into 'trane), e.g. through the free jazz wailing and screaming of "Om" and "Ascension". And once you've heard the amazing "Olatunji Concert" on impulse, can any of Coltrane's recordings smack you over the head any better? Well, this one sure ain't bad. Still quite focussed on melodic lines, but straying off into bawling, yelling flights of saxophonic fancy.
:; [62] Flying Saucer Attack Flying Saucer Attack LP (a.k.a. Rural Psychedelia) LP (!!) fsa (Stargazer promotions?) (1993?)

.............................................

Sweet Jesus. How did my karma get this good? Possibly *the* best FSA album, from the first 1000 pressing no less, handpainted label, hand stamped inner sleeve... and I wouldn't care about all that shit apart from the fact that the music is great and F.S.A. is meant to be heard off vinyl. "My dreaming hill" is magnificent, and that Suede cover "The drowners" is great. However, I have to admit, the first time I heard this record was on tape. I was working in the science library at the tender age of 20 and my boss/friend Ian (where'd you go Ian?) found out that I liked FSA. Amazingly, he was a fan, and had been in England in the 90's, seen FSA and had this very record on vinyl as I do now. He made me a tape of it and it sounded sooo good that no other version of FSA has sounded as fine to me since. Not even this record. And lo and behold, what do I read in the photocopied, typewriter style liner notes for this record: "For optimum listening pleasure with this LP, please record onto casette with the record levels way too high and then play back and you will find that a suitable extra layer of distortion has been created". For anyone who thinks that that sounds too wilfully lo-fi or somehow pretentious, I can assure you that it's absolutely true for this record.
:; [61] Institut fuer feinmotorik Negemergenz LP Fusetron (circa 2000?)

.............................................

Not convinced about this one yet, but it sounds great on paper. End lock grooves of records or the paper labels are played on a bunch of record players (in this particular incarnation of "feinmotorik") to explore the acoustic properties of the players themselves. How does it sound? Well I think it needs a few more listens... What's with the confusing spine label, eh Fusetron?
:; [60] Milo Fine Frequency Etchings [Ongoing celebrations of insignificance] LP Fusetron (1999)

.............................................

Clarinet? You're shitting me. It sounds like Milo Fine is strangling a tin cat. The amplification he uses on side A of this killer clari-skronk LP makes his sound so chunky, I could have sworn there was something wrong with my record player's stylus! It's pretty cheap so there probably is, but mostly it's Mr Fine being a complete fucking terrorist. This is great, why haven't I listened to it more...? Scritti Politti...ugh.
:; [59] Stormbugs Up the middle and down the sides LP Fusetron (circa 2000?)

.............................................

This is a tremendous "variety" record, mixing low fi songs and improv(?) with primitive electronic sections. I wish I'd made this record. I have no idea who these guys are, but if the near-unreadable circle-typeset cover notes are to be beleived some of this stuff was recorded in 1978/1980 which also makes it ridiculously ahead of its time. If I could stop listening to sacharine Scritti Politti pop music, I might be able to comment further... ugh. post script Yup, it's from 1978/80...amazing! Right up there with Swell Maps but a different planet entirely! Wow...
:; [58] Hurray Dreams not soft illusion LP Fusetron (2005)

.............................................

What the? Erm, well it's kind of improvised clattery music I guess, then there's the sax, and the psychy reverb and the fact that it's all sparse and downtempo. Crikey, unclassifiable music! I got a bunch of records as trades from Fusetron and I just haven't had a chance to give them quality time yet, but they're all remarkable in their own way. I'll write more on this one once it's sunk in.
:; [57] Sun Ra and his Arkestra Supersonic Jazz LP El Saturn Records (?)

.............................................

Well, there's good Sun Ra, average, and crap Su Ra I suppose. I didn't do my research before picking up this cheapie and it's pretty average. I guess it's fine after dinner Jazz, but it certainly doesn't take me anywhere near outer space. The sound it reminds me most of is Duke Ellington! Is that wrong? Not a patch on Heliocentri Worlds that's for sure.
:; [56] Cecil Taylor It is in the brewing luminous Double LP hat Hut Records (1981)

.............................................

In which Cecil Taylor smacks around the keyboard, sounding like a piano left out in a hailstorm (I'll get to Conlan Nancarrow later) and The CT Unit try to keep up or out do him. I just love hearing him run around the keyboard on his own, but the players in the group are great too - especially the violinist!
:; [55] Anthony Braxton For Alto Double LP Delmark (circa 1971)

.............................................

Love this. My favourite aspects of Braxton's playing: squeaking, squealing, writhing horn, seemingly dual lines which attack each other even in this solo setting, and some fairly listenable, quiet playing on here too. It's the kind of record you can put on even though it's raining outside and the rain sounds amazing, and you wouldn't normally spoil it with human sounds. Maybe it's because Braxton sounds like he's playing in the rain! Jumping around, feeling wet and surly, kicking things occasionally. I'll work on that theory and get back to you folks... Comes with a bizarre A.B. charicature bookmark (it's the Japanese pressing you see) all afro and trademark round glasses...
:; [54] Derek Bailey and Noel Akchote Close to the kitchen (London guitar duos August 96) LP Rectangle (1997)

.............................................

I don't know heaps about the late Bailey and I know nothing about Noel Akchote, but this is a decent album of improvised guitar music for sure. The two players really complement each other and the textural and random twang playing creates a tense atmosphere most of the time. Sometimes I can't stand listening to improvised music, often it's the only thing that seems worth putting on.
:; [53] Ekkehard Ehlers PLays Albert Ayler LP Staubgold (2001)

.............................................

So Ekkehard Ehlers has this shtick where he "plays" an artist and of course sounds nothing like them, since he's a laptop dude. However, on this album, the first side at least does sound precisely like an Albert Ayler saxaphone line fed through an extremely carefully chosen pro tools plugin... not sure what I think of this one yet, 'cept that you've gotta have balls to take Ayler's name (in vain?)
:; [52] Pharoah Sanders Jewels of though LP Impulse (1969)

.............................................

What was in the water at Impulse around this time? Probably a dumb question; it was the end of the psychedelic 60's. But shit, the albums from this era are revelatory . The first track on this album "Hum Allah..." has Amos Leon Thomas doing his ridiculous trade mark half yodel with equally ridiculous lyrics about the "Prince of peace...". Straight up dip shit hippie language. I couldn't believe it when I first heard it. I abosolutely adore it now of course. But then... oh boy. Pharaoh is practicing a new form of warfare (oh it's spiritual warfare of course folks) whereby he uses an unexpected saxaphone explosion to directly melt your brain . It's just fucking astonishing. Honestly, when the Sanders solo kicks in on this first track, it's such a brutal shock, you'll swear he just tore the whole universe a new arsehole. If you don't know this recording, trust me, my hyperbole is, at least this once, entirely justified.
:; [51] Alice Coltrane Universal Consciousness LP Impulse (1971)

.............................................

Wow. I wasn't prepared for this. Starting off with spooky strings sliding all over atonal space like some Schoenberg composition, then Alice's jerky, creepy organ leaping into the frey. This is a hell of a ride from the beginning. The extreme hippie spiritual overload of the liner notes is amazing all by itself. Most every deity is referenced and equated with God and good Onedaruth himself (that's John Coltrane - the other J.C. to you spiritual nonces) is revealed to be waiting near the (quite gaudy sounding) heavenly kingdom ready to wail for the souls of the war dead. But due to the conviction and uncompromising nature of this music, you can read all of that with a straight face, and even start to wonder just what the hell you're missing. A.C. sure doesn't owe a thing to John Coltrane musically. She's charting her very own path through deep space for sure...
:; [50] The Smiths The Queen is Dead LP Sire (Rough Trade) (1986)

.............................................

My favourite Smiths record as of now! Almost every song's a winner and even the clangers have good hooks. In particular I just lurrrve "I know it's over", "Bigmouth strikes again", "The boy with the thorn in his side" and - oh I have to - "There is a light which never goes out". Mozza was on fine form for this album. I still don't particularly fancy his lyrics in general, but he's undeniably witty and his mocking self pitty is somehow completely endearing too me. And Marr nails the music on this album for sure. Binged on this for about two weeks.
:; [49] Hecker Pandamonium 9 Playlist 12'' EP Mego/Synaesthesia (2003)

.............................................

When I abandoned the sinking Scape schooner of Pole et al. for the already sinking Mego luxury liner, did I ever imagine that I'd willingly subject myself to punishment like this? It's not like Merzbow where you can bliss out in the infinite prickliness of white noise. Hecker wants you to know the truth about digital machines, and fuck music, that's a distraction. The machines belch and curse and cackle like devils. And they don't so much as hint at a warm Fennezy existence in the digital realm. I really don't like Hecker's records. but I can't help thinking that they might be useful for something one day. (P.S. Gordon Mumma already did this three decades ago.)
:; [48] Pole 3 Double LP Kiff (2000)

.............................................

Hadn't bothered listening to the last Pole album before Stefan Bjetke got sick of his crucnchy dub shtick and unsucessfully added other elements. I like Pole 1 and 2. Good sleeping music. This album is real good too. It's so minimal, it doesn't put a foot wrong, but it still has a feeling attached to it. Or rather it manages to evoke a, perhaps imaginary time or place for me; As if an articficial, but soft light were thrown on a dim memory. Aw shit it's just Pole...
:; [47] Autechre Amber Double LP Warp (1994)

.............................................

Before they got all weird and started using minimal album covers with illegible fonts and stark geometric designs, Autechre made an album packaged in a sleeve with a photo of a pink desert. No name, no title printed on the outside, but the album was Amber which remains a lot of people's fave I gather. I listened to it years ago, and didn't dig it. Now I find it really appealing. Smooth, cold melodic Autechre.
:; [46] Albert Ayler Witches and Devils LP Freedom

.............................................

More cheap Ayler vinyl from the awesome modern music . This is from a 1964 Atlantic Studios recording session; Sunny Murray is drumming too. On the back of the sleeve is this quotation of Ayler: "Now is the time for the artist's artist. Our music is a long way from entertainment music. I'd say that Archie Shepp was playing entertainment music. Whenever you hear our music, you hear something fresh. And that's pure art." Wow. Holy shit. Like all my fave "jazz" from this period, Ayler is tapping something a shitload deeper than entertainment. All sorts of awful cliches about the spirit screaming, channeling, etc come to mind when I hear Ayler honk and squeal. In his beautifully unique fashion. For all of that though, it's the straightforward but ghostly saxaphone line with signature huge vibrato intro that kicks off "Spirits" that absolutely astonishes me every time I hear it. Your jaw has to drop because you can feel the spirits in that sax tone.
:; [45] Mouse on Mars Idiology LP Sonig (2001)

.............................................

This album got great reviews when it came out but I hated it the time. Thanks to the temptations of the cheap bins at Disc Union I figured I could try it again. But I still hate it. It's the sound MoM's pop tendencies being indulged. Once or twice that works okay, but there's too much dumb arsery for my liking, even though it IS Mouse on Mars after all. Idiology indeed. Maybe it'll turn out to be my favourite album... nah.
:; [44] The Clash Give 'em enough rope LP CBS Records (1978)

.............................................

I've never much liked The Clash, but I still keep trying. I remember the first time I heard "Death and Glory" in Berlin (somewhat of an anthem in that city even now it seems!) it seemed amazing, and I couldn't believe it came from the same album as such rock radio staples as "London's calling". This album, well some of it is nice enough. "Drug stabbing time" is a dirty rock song and Strummer can sneer and swagger his way through almost anything and make it sound alright. It's the cheesey bloody sax solos (funnily enough mediascum has been talking about bad sax recently too!) not to mention the guitar that ruin it for me. I'm sure it was a breath of fresh air in 1978 though. But there were some right icy blasts coming out in 1978 so The Clash have a lot of competition for my ears.
:; [43] Autechre Chiastic Slide Double LP Warp 1997

.............................................

Classic Autechre. How far have they really come in 10 years? Actually, I think they progressed right up until "Confield" and then got kind of lost...
:; [42] Robert Johnson/Otto Virgial/Robert Lockwood Delta blues goin' north - Mississippi Country Blues volume 1 (1935-1951) Document Records (1987)

.............................................

Alternative takes of Robert Johson recordings from 1936/7 and the entire recorded output of the other two gentlemen. Blues in just the style and from just the era that I like. I love the way the guitar lines aren't constrained by a band or a rigid sense of rhythmical bars. Having said that, I can't profess a really deep love for these recordings. Having heard Skip James, everything else kind of leaves me flat for some reason. Skip James seems to have a low desperation in his voice and guitar playing that even Johnson can't match for me. The quality of the recordings is surprisingly good, but still has that crisp treble warble that is such a joy to listen to in the age of digital ear lubricant.
:; [41] Autechre EP7.1 LP Warp (1999)

.............................................

Yup. This along with LP5 is pretty much my fave Autechre. Missed out on getting the other disc (EP7.2) somehow - it was there one day, gone when I came back for it. Typical Tokyo - collector scum just one step behind you. Don't leave anything good behind - just bang it on the credit card and worry about it later. If it's any good it won't be there when you come back with your pocket money. Anyway, this album is when they started to really sound like a robot falling down the stairs in five dimensional space. At least on one or two of the tracks. The beats and melodies are living things, not snippets sequenced by hand, however cleverly. And I dig that. Whatever it is, algorithmic compostition, fractal synthesis, blah blah, Autechre did it well here. Some would say that they've long since had their day at the cutting edge of electronic music. But there are qualities about Autechre which stem from their Techno/Electronica background which make them unique I think. They kind of launched into unlistenability from a position of pop music which I always like.
:; [40] Pan American The river made no sound Double LP Kranky (2002)

.............................................

The better of the two Pan American albums I've got. Still only really good for going to sleep to. When you think of that cold, scary edge that older Labradford has, you wonder how one of 'em (Mark Nelson right?) could turn out something this comfortable. Aw shit, what it comes down to is that I just hate straight ahead beats these days.
:; [39] Autechre Incunabula Double LP Warp (1993)

.............................................

1993? Really? Beautifully packaged and well preserved 2nd hand cheapie. I find this era of Autechre a bit "dumb" in the beats department. The "i" in IDM is for "intelligent" isn't it? But there's something cold and robotic about them that I can still relate too for sure.
:; [38] The Damned Music for pleasure LP Stiff records (1977)

.............................................

Yep, I think I like it. My first listen to be honest, so I picked the earliest thing I could find of theirs. Well, it's better than The Clash anyway (see above). Snotty punk rock that's just recently shaken off teen angst. Sometimes I'm in the mood for dumb punk, it's just that those bloody arty post punkers seem to piss all over it. Wire anyone?
:; [37] Boards of Canada Hi Scores 12'' EP Skam

.............................................

What's this doing here? Aw man, I really loathe BoC mostly, but I have to admit that after going on a road trip to Wellington with my pal KD aka the aforementioned mediascum I developed a soft spot for these bloody Scotsmen. As I told KD at the time, they make me feel like I'm in a car commercial! But I guess I got to like the commercial. Anyway, this is a good mini-album/ EP. That nice our world sort of vibe makes you feel a bit afloat in the big weird Universe and the beats are only slightly naff.
:; [36] Swell Maps ... in "Jane from occupied Europe" Double LP Munster Records (2005 - Reissue)

.............................................

Wow, this is great. Really great. Recommended to me by Rosy Parlane, so I guess it's no surprise. This is the best "post punk" from this era I've heard aside from Wire, who I adore. This album runs the gamut: the first track sounds like drum and bass from 1997, except more interesting. Then it's an unpredictable ride through lo fi wryly delivered pop, field recordings, collage. Oh yeah, the songs rule; the lyrics are great. "Cake shop girl" in particular veers between quotidian observations and sinister images of a cake shop. The icing is the hooky synth line which I swear would even make my great pal media scum happy. To top it all off, it's a stunning reissue package on thick vinyl with extra liner notes and I bought it new for way too cheap at Shimokitazawa Disc Union. They'd put two prices on it - one double the other. The shop guy just shrugged and scanned the cheaper price. After this album, why'd anyone even bother with pop music anymore?
:; [35] Anthony Braxton Six Monks Compositions (1987) LP Black Saint 1988

.............................................

I am a great fan of difficult, squealy Anthony Braxton saxophone playing. So imagine my surprise when I got this hastily purchased record home and realised he was covering Monk tunes! Ah well, good for my education, and I do like Monk really. Braxton's performance of standards has been criticised I think, but his playing sounds great to me. A crappy piano sound in one or two tracks marrs things a little though....
:; [34] Autechre Envane LP Warp (1997)

.............................................

Chiastic slide era Autechre...
:; [33] Autechre Peel Session 2 LP Warp 2000

.............................................

Behold... my Autechre binge (strictly cheap bin opportunism...) Oh yeah, and this isn't a bad Autechre album! For those of you who resent me for going to Tokyo and just buying yesterday's tired electronica, well, at the moment, I'm focussing on comfort music. You need to have a good stock of comfort music, I reckon, especially when you're living abroad. Secondly, I like Autechre, particularly late Autechre, although the early stuff is growing on me. Thirdly, I like having robotic music on vinyl. There's something nice and perverse about having such blatantly digital sound (well, late Autechre sounds quite digital) on an anachronistic medium like vinyl I think. Finally, this stuff was all in the cheap bin, so why not?
:; [32] Aphex Twin Girl/Boy EP 12'' EP Warp (1996)

.............................................

Lucked in big time here. I didn't know which EP this was when I bought it, but it's got two of my faves from the Aphex Geeky vocals era: The "did he really just say that?" Milk Man track and the lovely "Beetles" ditty. I love his voice! What a weirdo.
:; [31] Oval Systemisch Double LP Thrill Jockey 1996

.............................................

Sounds lovelier than I remember. From my Disc Union electronica cheap bin binge.
:; [30] ooioo (Self titled?) LP (Pink vinyl!) Time Bomb (1997)

.............................................

ooioo! Tanoshii ne?
:; [29] Mouse on Mars Audiotacker Double LP Too Pure (1997)

.............................................

Average Mouse on Mars. I like them quite a lot sometimes.
:; [28] Kit Clayton Lateral Forces 12'' EP Vertical Form (2000)

.............................................

About 6 years ago I really wanted this record and couldn't get it. So I got it now from the super cheap bin at Disc Union. Why did I want it again? I guess I was just going through a "crunchy dub" phase listening to Pole and all that sound alike Scape minimal dub. Still like Pole. This is pleasant enough but who really cares?
:; [27] snd stdio Double LP Mille Plateau (2000)

.............................................

More cheap bin electronica. God, this is actually minimal techno! What was I thinking... well snd and stdio are Unix geek references you see, so there's an odd appeal there. Plus, it ain't bad minimal techno.
:; [26] Pan American 360 Business/360 Bypass Double LP Kranky (1999)

.............................................

Don't like P.A. much compared with Labradford. A bit too "easy listening electronica" for me. Was going to complain about the wack vocals on this but just noticed they're by Alan and Mimi from Low! Still wack. Reason bought = Cheap bin + good sleeping music.
:; [25] The Fall Living Too Late E.P. 12'' E.P. Beggars Banquet (1986)

.............................................

More Fall. Can't have too much. Not bad...
:; [24] The Fall C.R.E.E.P. (E.P) 12'' E.P. Beggars Banquet (1984)

.............................................

LOVE this Fall track. Already had it at home on "Wonderful and Frightening world..." and bought it again by mistake. Good mistake. My fave Fall song after maybe "Slang King".
:; [23] The Fall Behind the counter E.P. 12'' E.P. Permanent (BMG) (1993)

.............................................

I had a cheap Fall record binge. Just realised I hadn't even listened to this one yet!
:; [22] Blind Lemon Jefferson/Willard "Ramblin'" Thomas Collectors Classic 5 LP LP Collectors Classic

.............................................

I like my blues old, delta, and lone guitarist style.
:; [21] Richard Ramirez Black Leather Jesus LP (Picture disc) Unknown

.............................................

Usually, Black Leather Jesus is the name Ramirez records under. However, for this record it appears to be the title. Sleeveless black and white picture disc signed by Ramirez! Also bought at JNS.
:; [20] Incapacitants Sewer election LP Seger (2006)

.............................................

File under "harsh noise". Purchased from the infamous "noise aparto store" JNS in Shinjuku. Apparently these guys are great live. Effective, busy noise music.
:; [19] Albert Ayler Nuits de la Fondation Maeght LP Water (2002)

.............................................

Cheap Ayler live recording on vinyl; sounds great to me!
:; [18] Flying Saucer Attack Further LP Domino (1995)

.............................................

FSA on vinyl the way it was meant to be. I'm not being a snob, that's what Dave says! Love this LP!
:; [17] Tomokawa Kazuki Satoru LP Tiliqua

.............................................

Previously only available with the massive PSF Tomokawa box set. Great Tomokawa album!
:; [16] Boredoms ??? LP Warner
